Contact urticaria: If when giving your first purees you notice that the child gets pimples around the mouth, or the lips swell and redness and itching appears (the baby cries a lot because he is upset), you should stop giving him the food and go to the pediatrician.

Also if you notice any change in the skin: spots or pimples on the arms (inner area of the elbows and wrists), on the face or on the legs (inner area of the knees and ankles).

Intestinal and respiratory problems: If your child shows any type of gastrointestinal discomfort (nausea, vomiting, gut pain and diarrhea) you should also take him to the doctor. And if respiratory symptoms appear (the baby shows difficulty breathing, or has whistles or noises when doing so) you have to go to the emergency room.

And the pots do not give allergy?

One of the most frequent doubts among mothers is whether they can give the baby fruit jars containing peach and apricot, two fruits that are usually present in commercial preparations for children from 4 months. Well, in principle they should not produce reactions, because during its preparation the part of the fruit that produces allergy is eliminated, that is, the skin.In addition, to prepare them, a cooking and pasteurization process that reduces the allergenic capacity of the food is usually followed. But this does not mean that make it totally harmless; In the case of children with more risk of allergies, such as those who are already allergic to any food (for example, milk) or those who have allergic siblings or parents, it is advisable to avoid them or delay their introduction.
